Careful coordination was required for the demolition and replacement of the 1,300-foot Norfolk Southern seabet betting over Conneaut Creek with active railway traffic. Work included deep foundations, concrete piers, structural steel deck, and framework and involved approximately 2,500 cubic yards of cast-in-place concrete, mass concrete pours, placement of typical 90-foot steel girder deck sections, and replacing open railway tie deck with 180-foot main girder span over the creek.
